Joey Benitez

Born and raised in Maryland, Joey Benitez built his baseball foundation at Archbishop Spalding, where he was a four-year varsity starter. He continued his career at Old Dominion University before finishing his collegiate play at the University of South Carolina Aiken. In 2017, Joey was selected in the 22nd round of the MLB Draft by the Chicago White Sox.
Following a career-ending injury, Joey returned to the classroom and earned a Master’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology, deepening his understanding of the mental side of athletic performance. As a coach, he prioritizes strong fundamentals, sound mechanics, mental resilience, and a team-first approach.
